Find the percentage of water absorbed by the particular soil ,if 200 ml of water was added drop wise to 150 gm on the dry soil kept on filter paper in the funnel,the amount of water left in the measuring cylinder was found to be 140 ml .​

percentage = part/ whole × 100

thus, the percentage of water absorbed by the soil =

 \frac{60}{200}  \times 100\% =  \frac{60}{2}  = 30\%

hence, the percentage of water absorbed by the particular soil is 30%
