perimetre = sum of all sides
and all sides are 13 cm each

and there are 12 sides
so
13+13+13+13+13+13+13+13+13+13+13+13
or
13×12

The figure in the diagram has all equal sides of Length 13 metres.

To find,

The area and perimeter of the given figure.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

By visual observation, we can see that there are 12 equal sides of Length 13 metres.

So, the perimeter will be = 13×12 = 156 metre

And, the whole figure is made out of 5 squares of equal side length of 13 metres.

So, the area will be = 5×(13)² = 5×169 = 845 m²

[Area of each square = (side)²]

Hence, the perimeter is 156 m and the area is 845 .
