Answer:

Perimeter = 28 cm

Area = 48 cm²

Explanation:

Length = 8 cm

Breadth = 6 cm

  • Perimeter = 2(l + b)

= 2(8 + 6)

= 2(14)

= 28 cm

  • Area = l × b

= 6 × 8

= 48 cm²

Question -

Find the perimeter and area of a rectangle having length =8cm and breadth =6cm

Solution -

Given,

length (l) = 8cm

breadth (b) =6cm

We know that,

Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

Perimeter of rectangle =2(8+6)cm

Perimeter of rectangle =(2×14)cm

Perimeter of rectangle =28cm

And,

Area of rectangle = l×b

Area of rectangle = (8×6)cm²

Area of rectangle = 48cm²

Related Formulae -

1) Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

2)Perimeter of square = 4×side

3)Perimeter of equilateral triangle =3a

4) Area of rectangle = l×b

5) Area of square = side×side

6)area \: of \:  \: equilateral \:  \: triangle =  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4}  {a}^{2}
