The diagonal here acts as the hypotenuse of the two triangles formed by the diagonal.

Using the Pythagores theorem-

(25)² = (7)² + (b)².......( b here represents the length)

625 = 49 + b²
b² = 625-49
= 576
b = 24cm

Perimeter of rectangle is 2 × 24+ 7
= 2 × 31
= 61cm

Area -
24 × 7
= 168cm²

ved2728: I don't understand explain again
akash2609: Okie
akash2609: well every angle of the rectangle is 90° right?
akash2609: The diagonal divides the rectangle into two right angles.
akash2609: *right triangles
akash2609: Hence the diagonal here acts as the hypotenuse of both the triangles
akash2609: To find both area and perimeter we need the length which is missing here
akash2609: hence by using the Pythagores theorem and taking the missing length as the base we can find out it's length. Once the length is out we can put it in the formula and find out the area and pm
