Let each side be x.

height=12 cm

In Triangle ABC

From B make one perpendicular and join it to AC at D

Now, AB=x and BD=x/2

Therefore,

(x)^2=(x/2)^2+(12)^2(by pythagoras theorem)

x^2=x^2/4+144

x^2-x^2=144

3x^2/4=144

3x^2=144*4

x^2=(144*4)/3

x^2=192(by solving)

x=2root43(root 43=6.557)

x=2*6.557

x=13.11

There fore,

perimeter = 13.11*3=39.34cm

area=root3/4*x^2

area=83.14(by solving)
