Find the perimeter and area of the figure (i) given above in the attachment in which all corners are right angles.

• Answer is 50 m, 51 m² , give answer with explanation. ​

Perimeter of the given figure is = 3m + 5m + 8m + 5m + 2m + 7m + 13m + 7m + 3m = 53m

For finding the area of the figure I divide the figure into two different figures.

Area of the whole figure = (L × B)

= (13m × 7m)

= 91m2

Area of the remaining figure = (L × B)

= (8m × 5m)

= 40m2

So , for finding the area of the figure we have to subtract the remaining figure from the whole figure.

= 91m2 - 40m2

= 51m2
