Step-by-step explanation:

Since, angles of rectangle are 90°

Applying Pythagorean theorem,

d²=l² + b² ( where d is diagonal)

15² + b² = 17²

b² = 17²-15² = 64

b= 8cm

a) Perimeter= 2(l+b) = 2(15+8) = 46 cm

b) Area = 15×8 = 120 cm²
