Answer:

Your answer is 61.1 cm²  And perimeter is 59.42 cm .

Step-by-step explanation:

let's find the third side of right angled triangle i.e. diameter of the semi-circle :-

  By applying Pythagoras theorem :-

                          12² + 16² = diameter ²

                      => 144 + 256 = Diameter²

                      =>  400 = diameter²

                      =>   Diameter = 20 cm or radius = 10 cm

Now, area of shaded region :-

      = [ Area of semi-circle ] - [Area of right angled triangle]

      = [ πr² /2 ] - [ b h /2 ]

      = [ 3.142 * 10² /2 ] - [ 16 * 12 * 1/2 ]

      = [ 157.1 ] - [ 96 ]

      = 61.1 cm²    ( Ans.)

Now , perimeter is = πr + length of two sides

                                    = ( 3.142 * 10 ) + 16 + 12

                                    = 31.42 + 28

                                    = 59.42 cm   (Ans.)
