Length = 5m

Breadth = 400cm = 4m ( Since 100 cm = 1 m )

Perimeter = 2( Length + Breadth)

=> 2(5 + 4)

=> 2 * 9 = 18 m (Answer)

Answer:

Perimeter of a rectangle is 18 \ m .

Step-by-step explanation:

To find : perimeter of a rectangle

Given : length and breadth of rectangle are 5 m and 400 cm respectively .

Solution :

  • As per given data we know that , length and breadth of rectangle are 5m and 400 cm respectively . We have to find perimeter .
  • We first convert breadth into meters : 1m = 100\ cm

                                                                 400\ cm = \frac{400}{100} = 4\ m

  • To find perimeter we use following formula -
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b)
  • Substituting the values we get,
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( 5 + 4 )

                                                = 2 ( 9 ) \\= 18\ m
