Given:-

  • Area of rectangle = 4800 sq.m
  • Breadth = 60 m

To Find:-

  • Perimeter of the rectangle

Solution:-

Here the area and breadth of the traingle is given, through which we'll find out the length od the rectangle.

We know,

Area of a rectangle = (Length × Breadth) sq.units

Hence,

4800 = L × 60

=> L = 4800/60

=> L = 80 m

Therefore the length of the rectangle is 80 m

Now,

We are asked to find the perimeter.

We know,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth) units.

Hence,

Perimeter = 2(80 + 60)

Perimeter = 2 × 140

=> Perimeter = 280 m

Therefore the perimeter of the rectangle is 280 m.

How to solve?

→ Firstly we were given with the area and the breadth of the rectangle. So we divided the area by the breadth which gave us the length of the rectangle. Now, as the formula of finding the perimeter of the rectangle is 2(Length + Breadth), we put the respective values in the formula and got the answer as 280 m.
