perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

650 =2(l+13)

650 = 2l+26

650- 26= 2l

624= 2l

624/2= l

312 = l answer

Topic - Perimeter and Area

Question :-

Find the perimeter of a rectangle whose area is 650 cm and its breadth is 13 cm.

Given :-

  • Area of rectangle = 650 sq.cm

  • Breadth of rectangle = 13 cm

To Find :-

The perimeter of a rectangle

We have to use formula in this question:

  • Area of rectangle = L × B
  • Area of rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

Solution :-

we have ,

Area of rectangle = 650 sq.cm

Breadth of rectangle = 13 cm

By the question ,

Area = L × B

↪650 sq.cm = L × 13 cm

↪ 650 sq.cm ÷ 13 cm = L

↪ 50 cm = L

↪ 50 cm = L

∴ Length of rectangle = 50 cm

And Breadth = 13 cm

now,

The perimeter of rectangle

↪ 2 ( L + b )

↪ 2 ( 50 cm + 13 cm )

↪ 2 × 63 cm

↪ 126 cm

Hence,

The perimeter of rectangle is 126 cm.
