Using the formulas

P=2(l+w)

d=w2+l2

Solving forP

P=2l+2d2﹣l2=2·40+2·412﹣402=98cm

Perimeter = 98 cm.

Answer:

The perimeter of the rectangle = 2 ( Length + Width )

= 2 ( 40 cm + 9 cm )

= 2 x 49 cm

= 98 cm

Hence the perimeter of the rectangle is 98 cm.
