Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the perimeter of a triangle

Given:- Length = 40cm  & diagonal = 41

here we form a right angled triangle

( OBSERB THE PHOTO WE REQUIRED THE RED COLOURED AREA)

hyp² = b² + alt²

we have hyp = 41  b = 40  alt = ?

alt² = hyp² - b²

alt² = 41² - 40²

alt² = 1,681 - 1,600

alt² = 81

alt = √81 = 9 cm

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

l = 40  b = 9

⇒ p = 2 × 49 = 98cm
