Answer:

By using pythagorus theorum

(H)^2 =(b)^2+(p)^2

(41)^2=(b)^2+(40)^2

1681=(b)^2+1600

1681-1600=(b)^2

81=(b)^2

√81=b

9=b

Now find the perimeter of the rectangle

Answer:

In ΔBCD

BD²=CD²+BC²    (Pythagoras thm)

41²=CD²+40²

41²-40²=CD²

1681-1600=CD²

81=CD²

√81=CD

9cm =CD

perimeter of a rectangle=2(l+b)

                                        =2(41+9) =2*50

                                         =100 cm
