By Pythagoras theorem,

(hypotenuse)²= (side1)² + (side2)²

= (8)² + (15)²

= 64 + 225

(hypotenuse)²= 289

Taking square root on both sides,

hypotenuse= √289

hypotenuse= 17cm

Now,

Perimeter= the sum of all three sides

= 8+15+17

= 40cm
