Given

Diameter of semicircle is 14cm

To Find

perimeter of a semicircle

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

We have given diameter and we know that radius is half of Diameter or diameter is twice of radius.

Radius=D/2

=>Radius= 14/2

=>Radius= 7cm

Perimeter of semicircle = πr +2r

=>Perimeter of semicircle= 22/7×7+2×7

=>Perimeter of semicircle= 22+14

=>perimeter of semicircle= 36cm

Alternative Method

Perimeter of semicircle= 1/2πd +d

=>Perimeter of semicircle= 1/2×22/7×14+14

=>Perimeter of semicircle=1/2×22×2+14

=>Perimeter of semicircle= 11×2+14

=>Perimeter of semicircle= 22+14=36cm

Extra information=>

The area of semicircle is half of the area of Circle

Area of semicircle= πr²÷2

Semicircle is obtained by cutting the circle into two halves or when we divide the circumference of the circle by 2 we get semicircle.

Answer:

22cm

Step-by-step explanation:

circumfrence = pie d

= 22/7*14 = 22*2= 44

= semicercle = half of circle so 44/2 = 22
