Answer :

  • Perimeter of Square is 16cm

Given :

  • Area of square = Area of rectangle
  • Length = 8cm
  • Breadth = 2cm

To find :

  • Perimeter of Square

Solution :

First of all , we need to find the area of rectangle then we get the area which as same area of square after that we have to find the side of square then after perimeter of square

As we know that,

  • Area of rectangle = l × b

where l is length 8cm and b is breadth 2cm

》8 × 2

》16cm²

Hence Area of rectangle is 16cm²

Now Side of Square

As we know that side of square is s² so ,

  • Area of square = Area of rectangle

》s² = 16

》s = √16

》s = 4cm

Hence , Side of square is 4cm

Now we have to find the perimeter of square

As we know that ,

  • Perimeter of square = 4(side)

4(side)

》4(4)

》 16cm

Hence, Perimeter of Square is 16cm
