let ABCD is a square .

AC is a diagonal ,and side = x

so by Pythagoras theorem

(AC)2 = (AB )2 + (BC)2

(10 √2) 2 = X+X

100× 2 = 2x

200÷ 2 = X

X = 100 cm

taking square root

X = 10

perimeter = 4× side

= 4 × 10

= 40
