hey dear

here is your answer

to find perimeter square

we use formula - P=4a.

a is a side

so we put this formula

8m +40 ( a= 8m taken)

p= 4*8+40

so, p=72m

first answer is perimeter of square is 72m

in second part we have to find diagonal of square

formula of diagonal square - d= root 2a

a is the side always remember

so, d=
 \sqrt{2 \times 72}
we multiply this then we got 144

 \sqrt{144 \: is \: 12}
so answer is diagonal of square is 12m

hope it helps

thank you

Given
Perimeter(P)=8m+40

To find the diagonal of the square.

w.k.t
P=4(side)
=>8m +40 = 4(a)
=>4(2m +10) = 4a
=>4(2m +10)/4 = a
=>2m + 10 = a      -------- (i)

Diagonal of a square is given by   \sqrt{2} a.

 From the above equation (i)
     diagonal length = \sqrt{2} (2m +10)
