perimeter of triangle = 1 + 1 +
 \sqrt{2}
= 2 +
 \sqrt{2}

Hello mate,

If we draw the triangle with vertices (0,1),(0,0),(1,0),

Then, we get that the height of the triangle is 1 units and the base is also 1 unit,

so,The area of the triangle =1/2*base*height

=1/2*1 unit*1 unit=0.5 unit square,
