Answer:

let the isosceles right trianlge be PQR

pr = hypotenuse

pq = height = a cm

qr = base = a cm

area of triangle = 1/2 * b * h

8=1/2*a*a

8*2=a*a

16=a*a

16=a2

a= 4 cm

base = height = a = 4 cm

Using pythagoras theorem in Right triangle PQR

pq2+qr2=pr2

42 + 42 = pr2

16 + 16 =pr2

32 = pr2

4root2 = pr

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: Area of a triangle = 1/2 Base x Height

Since it is an isosceles right - angled triangle, Base and height are equal . Let the base and the height be x each.

Then 1/2 * x * x = 5000m^2

= x^2 = 10000m^2

= x = 100m

Now hypotanuse^2 = base^2 + height^2 (By Pythagoras Theorem)

100^2 + 100^2 = H^2

10000 + 10000 = H^2

H = √20000

Therefore , Perimeter = 100 + 100 + √20000 = 200 + √20000
