let the triangle be ABC right angled at B.

Let AB and BC be the congruent sides

by applying pythagoras theorem

AB^2 + BC^2= AC^2

7^2+7^2= AC^2

49+49=AC^2

98=AC^2

√98=AC

7√2=AC

AC=7√2

perimeter of triangle = 7+7+7√2=14+7√2=7(2+√2)
