Given the sides of equilateral triangle are (3x+2y),(5x+6y) and (x+y+3)

The all sides of equilateral triangle are equal

Then 3x+2y=5x+6y

⇒3x−5x=6y−2y

⇒−2x=4y

⇒x=−2y...................(1)

And 5x+6y=x+y+3

⇒5x−x+6y−y=3

⇒4x+5y=3..........(2)

Put the value x=−2y as per (1) we get

4(−2y)+5y=3

⇒−8y+5y=3

⇒−3y=3

⇒y=−1..................(3)

∴x=−2(−1)=2

Put the value x=2 and y=−1 in length of side

x+y+3=2−1+3=4 cm

Then perimeter of triangle =3×4=12
