GIVEN:

  • Adjacent sides of ||gm are 10 cm and 15 cm

TO FIND:

  • Perimeter of ||gm

SOLUTION:

Let us assume that ABCD is a ||gm

As we all know that opposite sides of ||gm are always equal.

So:-

  • AB=CD=10cm
  • BC=AC=15cm

Before finding Perimeter we should know the meaning of perimeter.

PERIMETER=Sum of all sides of given figure.

So perimeter of ||gm ABCD will be:-

 \large \sf :  \implies \:  \: AB+BC+CD+AC

 \large \sf :  \implies \:  \: 10cm+15cm+10cm+15cm

 \large \sf :  \implies \:  \: 50cm \huge \:  \:  \checkmark

So perimeter of ||gm is 50 cm

IMPORTANT FORMULAE TO KNOW!!

  • Perimeter of rectangle=2(L+B)
  • Perimeter of square=4×Side
  • Area of ||gm =Base× height
  • Area of rectangle=L×B
  • Area of square=side²

Answer:

Hence, value of perimeter of parallelogram will be 50 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

In context to question asked,

We have to determine the value of perimeter of the parallelogram.

As per question,

Parallel sides of parallelogram are - 10 cm and 15 cm

As we know that,

  • Opposite sides of parallelogram are parallel and equal.
  • Perimeter of any figure can be determined by adding the length of sides of outer border of the figure.

So, for determining the value of perimeter of parallelogram we will use the formula - Perimeter = 2 (l +b) = 2 (Sum\: of \:both \:sides)

So, for determining the value of perimeter of parallelogram we will put the value of sides given in the question in above formula,

Thus we will get,

Perimeter = 2 (10+15) = 2 \times 25 = 50\:cm
