Consider rhombus ABCD where AC=16 cm and BD = 30 cm. Since diagonals bisect perpendicularly in a rhombus, AO =  OC =  8 cm and BO = OD = 15 cm (O is intersection point of diagonals AC and BD)

In ΔABO; using pythagorus theorem AB²= AO² + BO² = 8²+15² = 289

implies AB = 17 cm

Therefore perimeter of  rhombus ABCD = 17*4 cm = 68 cm

(since all sides are equal)
