Answer:

Diameter of circle = 2.8

Radius = 2.8/2 = 1.4m

Perimeter of semi circle = πr = 22/7 * 1.4 = 4.4 m

Hope it will help u...

Given,

Diameter of the semicircle – 2.8 m

To find,

The perimeter of the circle

Solution,

Diameter of the semicircle = 2.8 m

Radius = 2.8/2 = 1.4 m

Formula to find perimeter of a semicircle = πr

= \sf{\dfrac{22}{7}\times1.4}

= 4.4 m

Therefore, the perimeter of the semicircle is 4.4 m.

→ Semicircle –

Half of a circle is known as semicircle.

In this figure, the diameter divides the circle into two equal semi-circles.

→ Derivation of perimeter formula [semi-circle]

Perimeter of a circle = 2πr

As a semicircle is half of a circle, we can write down as

\sf{\dfrac{1}{2}\times2\times\pi\timesr}

= πr
