GivEn:

  • Diameter of semicircle = 21cm

To finD:

  • Perimeter of semicircle

Solution:

Here, given that diameter of semicircle is 21 cm. To find it perimeter, we are using a formula :

Formula using:

Perimeter of semicircle = πr + 2r

Where,

  • π = 22/7
  • r = diameter/2 = 21/2 = 10.5cm

Putting values in formula :

Perimeter of semicircle = πr +2r

=> Perimeter of semicircle = \large{\tt{\frac{22}{7}×10.5 + 2× 10.5}}

=> Perimeter of semicircle = \large{\tt{\frac{231}{7}+21}}

=> \large{\tt{\frac{231+147}{7}}}

=> 378/7

=> 54cm

Therefore,

Perimeter of semicircle = 54cm.
