Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) Perimeter = Length of all sides all together

                = (4 cm at the top x 2) + (3 x 6cm at the top as it is a square) + The opposite sides 12 cm + Base

Perimeter of the figure = 4 + 4+ 6 + 6 + 6 + 12 +12 + (4 + 4 + 6)

                                           =  4 +4 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 12 + 12 + 14

                                           = 64 cm

(b)    Perimeter =  Side on left 6cm + Base 5 cm + (2 x 3 cm next to the base) + (3cm as the opposite side measure 6 cm and it correspond to half of 6) + (Top portion as sum of base and 3 cm next to it)

Perimeter of the figure = 6 + 5 + 3 + 3 + 3 + (5 + 3)

                                           = 6 + 5 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 8

                                           = 28 cm
