To Find : Perimeter of the figure

Solution:

Perimeter of a polygon  figure is sum of its all sides

Here are the four sides

are

1 , 1/3 , 2/3  , 2/3

1 = 3/3

Hence sum of all the sides

= ( 3 + 1 + 2 + 2 )/3

= 8/3

Perimeter of the figure = 8/3 cm

Solution :-

We know that,

  • Perimeter of figure = Sum of all sides of given figure from which is formed .

So,

→ Perimeter of the given figure = 1 + (1/3) + (2/3) + (2/3)

→ Perimeter of the given figure = 1 + [(1/3) + (2/3) + (2/3)]

→ Perimeter of the given figure = 1 + [(1 + 2 + 2)/3]

→ Perimeter of the given figure = 1 + (5/3)

→ Perimeter of the given figure = (3 + 5)/3

→ Perimeter of the given figure = (8/3)

→ Perimeter of the given figure = 2(2/3) cm (Ans.)

Hence, the perimeter of the given figure is equal to 2(2/3) cm .
