here, TXY is a right angled triangle.

According to Pythagoras Theorem-

h²= b² + h²

(TY)² = 8²+15²

(TY)² = 64+ 225

(TY)² = 289

(TY) = √ 289

(TY)= 17

here, TWZ is a right angled triangle

According to Pythagoras theorem

h² = b²+h²

(TZ)² = 12²+5²

(TZ)² = 144+25

(TZ)²= 169

(TZ)=√169

(TZ)= 13

Perimeter of figure = sum of outer boundary

XT+ XY+ YZ+ ZW+ WT

15+8+4+12+5

= 44 cm.
