diameter of the semi circle=side of the square

= 14 cm

radius of the semi circle=7 cm

perimeter of one semi circle=2πr/2

 \implies \: perimeter = \pi \: r

perimeter of the figure=4 × πr

 \implies \: perimeter = 4 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 7 \\  = 4 \times 22 \\  = 88cm

the perimeter of the complete figure is 88cm

To find :-

The perimeter of the given shape.

\huge\underline\bold{Answer}

88Cm .

Step-by-step explanation:

In this shape we need to find the circumference of semicircles on each side of the square . The outer boundary of this figure is made up of semicircles . Diameter of each semicircle is 14cm.

We know that;

  • Circumference of the circle = \pi d
  • Circumference of the semicircle = \dfrac{1}{2}
  • \pi d= \dfrac{1}{2} × \dfrac{22}{7} × 14cm = 22cm.

Circumference of each of the semicircle is 22cm.

Therefore,

Perimeter of the given figure = 4× 22cm = 88cm.
