Answer:

The answer is 46 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

let the rectangle be ABCD

let its breadth be = BC = AD = 8 cm

let its diagonal be BD = 17 cm

Let the length be = AB = CD = x cm

Now, the triangle DAB is a right-angle triangle where ∠A is 90°

∴ By using the Pythagoras theorem,

AB²  + AD²   = BD²

x²  + 8² = 17²

x²  = 289 − 64

x²   = 225

x = √ 225

x = 15 cm

Thus, the Perimeter  = 2 × ( 15 + 8 )

                                  = 2 × 23

                                  = 46 cm

!!!! THEREFORE, THE CORRECT ANSWER IS 46 cm !!!!

!!!! THUS, FINALLY, YOU'VE GOT THE ANSWER !!!!
