Answer:

Formula = 2(l+b)

Length= 12cm

Breadth = 9cm

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

2(12+9)

2 × 21

= 42cm

Therefore, the perimeter of the rectangle = 42cm

Given - Length of rectangle : 12 cm

Breadth of rectangle : 9 cm

Find - Perimeter of rectangle

Solution - Rectangle is a shape with four sides, whose two opposite sides are always equal. Perimeter of rectangle is calculated by the formula 2(l + b). In the formula, l represents length and b represents breadth.

Keeping the values of length and breadth in formula to calculate perimeter -

Perimeter = 2 (12 + 9)

Perimeter = 2(21)

Perimeter = centimetres

Hence, perimeter of rectangle of given dimensions is 42 centimetres.
