Find the perimeter of the rectangle whose length is 40 cm and a diognal is 41 cm

(Length ) sq. + (breadth) sq. = (diognal ) sq


(40) ^2 +( breadth) ^ 2 = (41)^2


Breadth = √81 = 9


Perimeter of rectangle = 2( length + breadth)


2( 40cm + 9cm)= 2(49cm) = 98 cm

By pyth theorem

Diagonal*Diagonal=base*base+altitude*altitude

41*41=40*40+alt*alt

1681=1600+(let alt=bc)BC

√81 =Bc

BC=9

therefore peremeter of rectane=40+40+9+9=98
