to find -

perimeter of rectangle

solution -

rectangle's perimeter = 2(l+b)

= 2(-6y+3x+7y-2x)

= 2(7y-6y+3x-2x)

= 2(y+x)

= 2(x+y)

= 2×x + 2×y

= 2x+2y

Hence the perimeter of the rectangle = 2(x+y) or 2x+2y.
