Answer:

QUESTION

find the perimeter of the triangle whose vertices are (-2, 1), (4, 6) &(6, 3)??

ANSWER

LET

A = (-2,1)

B =(4,6)

C = (6,3)

PERIMETER OF THE TRIANGLE = SUM OF ALL THE SIDES...

THEREFORE

P = AB + BC + AC

ab \:  =  \sqrt{6 {}^{2}   + 5 {}^{2}}  \\ ab \:  =  \sqrt{36 + 25 }  \\ ab \:  =  \sqrt{66}

bc \:  =  \sqrt{2 {}^{2}   + 3 {}^{2} }  \\ bc \:  =  \sqrt{13}

ac \:  =  \sqrt{8 {}^{2}  + 2 {}^{2} }  \\ ac \:  =  \sqrt{64 + 4}  \\ ac \:  =  \sqrt{68}

AB + BC + AC

=

 \sqrt{66 + 13 + 68 }  \\  =  \sqrt{147}  \: units
