Perimeter of rectangle=2(L+B)
(1) length of the rectangle=7cm
Breadth of the rectangle=5cm
Perimeter of the rectangle=2*(7+5)
=2*12
=24cm
(2)length of the rectangle=5cm
Breadth of the rectangle=4cm
Perimeter of the rectangle=2*(5+4)
=2*9
=18
(3) length of the rectangle=7.5cm
Breadth of the rectangle=4.5cm
Perimeter of the rectangle=2*(7.5+4.5)
=2*12
=24

(1) 7 Cm, 5 Cm

AnswEr:

  • Perimeter of the rectangle = 24 Cm.

Given:

  • Length of the rectangle = 7 Cm
  • Breadth of the rectangle = 5 Cm

Need To Find:

  • Perimeter of the rectangle = ?

ExPlanation:

Formula used here:

  • Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × (l + b)

Putting the values according to the given formula:

➠ Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 × (7 + 5)

➠ Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 × (12)

➠ Perimeter of the rectangle = 24 cm

  • Hence, the perimeter of the rectangle is 24 Cm.

(2) 5 Cm, 4 Cm

AnswEr:

  • Perimeter of the rectangle = 18 Cm.

Given:

  • Length of the rectangle = 5 Cm
  • Breadth of the rectangle = 4 Cm

Need To Find:

  • Perimeter of the rectangle = ?

ExPlanation:

Formula used here:

  • Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × (l + b)

Putting the values according to the given formula:

➠ Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 × (5 + 4)

➠ Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 × (9)

➠ Perimeter of the rectangle = 18 cm

  • Hence, the perimeter of the rectangle is 18 Cm.

(3) 7.5 Cm, 4.5 Cm

AnswEr:

  • Perimeter of the rectangle = 24 Cm.

Given:

  • Length of the rectangle = 7.5 Cm
  • Breadth of the rectangle = 4.5 Cm

Need To Find:

  • Perimeter of the rectangle = ?

ExPlanation:

Formula used here:

  • Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × (l + b)

Putting the values according to the given formula:

➠ Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 × (7.5 + 4.5)

➠ Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 × (12)

➠ Perimeter of the rectangle = 24 cm

  • Hence, the perimeter of the rectangle is 24 Cm.

Additional Information:

What is Perimeter?

  • The length of the boundary of a closed figure is called the perimeter.

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (Length + Breadth)
  • Perimeter of a square = 4 × Side

What is Area?

  • The measure of the surface enclosed by a closed figure is called area.

  • Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth
  • Area of a square = Side × Side
