distance from x-axis is 4
and from y-axis is 6

siyakaul: can u tell me how 6 become the y axis & 4 be y axis??
OneAboveCrawl: yes, if consider only one coordinate at a time, suppose take x=0 and y= - 4 then there will be a straight line parallel to x axis and will be 4 units away from it.
OneAboveCrawl: same can be done for x axis
