A ( -3 , 4 ) ≈ X1 Y1

B ( 1 ,4 ) ≈ X2 Y2

By the distance formula

➠\sqrt{ {(x2 - x1)}^{2}  +({y2 - y1)}^{2}}

➠\sqrt{ {(1 - ( - 3)}^{2}  + {(4 - 4)}^{2}  }

➠\sqrt{ {(4)}^{2} +  {(0)}^{2}  }

➠\sqrt{16}

➠ \: 4 \: units

Answer:

  d= \sqrt{( {1  - ( -  3)}^{2} }  +  ( {4 - 4) }^{2}

  = \sqrt{ {(1 + 3)}^{2} }  +  {0}^{2}

 =  \sqrt{ {4 }^{2} }  +  {0}^{2}

 =  \sqrt{16}

 = 4
