hi here ....
here is ur answer..
in simple language we are suppose to fine intercepts.
so we now in eq.
x/a +y/b = 1........2
a and b are intercepts on x and y resp.
so molding this eq like eq2 we get
3x/12+4y/12=1 so
x/4 + y/3 = 1
and intercepts are
3 on x axis and 4 on y axis

hope helped...

Answer:

-> 4y = 24 -3x

let "x" = 0:

-> 4y = 24 - 3 × 0

-> 4y = 24

-> y = 6

-> (0,6) = Points:

-> Let "x" = 4

-> 4y = 24 - 3 (4)

-> 4y = 24 -12

-> y = 12 / 4

-> y = 3

-> (4,3) = Points:

-> x = -4

-> 4y = 24 - 3v ( -4 )

-> 4y = 24 + 12

-> y = 36 / 4

-> y=9

(-4,9) = Points:
