General form of a point at which a line cuts Y axis is ( 0 , y) , y is an integer

General form of a point at which a line cuts X axis is ( x, 0 ) , x is an integer.

If a line cuts y-axis at point A, then Co-ordinates of A ( 0 , k) , K is any value.

So , The line represented by 5y - 3x - 10 cuts the y-axis at ( 0 , k)

Substituting values ,

5(k ) - 3 ( 0 ) - 10 = 0

5k - 0 - 10 = 0

5k = 10

k = 10/5

k = 2 .

So, The line represented by the equation 5y – 3x – 10 = 0 cuts the y-axis at ( 0 , 2 )

Hope you are helped!
