Answer:

(-6,-8) and (-7 -9)

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly let us assume that line is divided in 1:2(line is trisected)

P is point of division

P(x,y)=(-8+2×-5)/1+2 , (-10+2×-7)/1+2

=(-8-10)/3 , (-10-14)/3

= -18/3 , -24/3

= -6 , -8

Now p(-6,-8) and(-8,-10) is divided in 1:1

Now point of division is Q

Q(x,y)=(-6-8)/2 , (-8-10)/2

= -14/2 , -18/2

= -7, -9

Therefore, the points of tri section are P(-6,-8) and Q(-7,-9)
