We have,

p(x) = x² + 7x + 10

p(x) = x² + 5x + 2x + 10

p(x) = x(x + 5) + 2(x + 5)

p(x) = (x + 5) (x + 2)

So, the value of p(x) = x² + 7x + 10 is zeroes when (x + 5) = 0 or (x + 2) = 0

i.e., when x = - 5 or - 2

∴ The zeroes of x² + 7x + 10 are - 5 or - 2.

Now,

Sum of zeroes = ( -5 ) + ( -2 )

       = - 7

            = - 7/1

            = - ( Coefficient of x) /             Coefficient of x²

Product of zeroes = ( - 5) ( -2)

              = 10

            = 10/1

          = Constant term/             Coefficient of x²
