Let the breadth be x

Length= x+3

Area polynomial= x(x+3)=x²+3x-----------------where x is breadth

or

Let the length be x

Breadth= x-3

Area polynomial= x(x-3)= x²-3x -----------where x is length

Answer:

x(x-3)

Explanation:

Dimensions of the rectangle:

Let length (l) = x

breadth (b) = x-3

Area (A) = lb

= x(x-3)

Or

= x²-3x

Required polynomial:

p(x) = x²-3x
