find the position,nature and size of image.if an object is placed 30cm from cancave mirror of focal length 10cm. if the height of object is 4cm.

here object distance that is u is equal to minus 30 cm and focal length that is f is equal to minus 10 cm now by applying mirror formula we have 1/v=1/f-1/u

Put u=-30 and f=-10 cm

find the value of v.

We will get v=-15 cm.

it is the image distance .

the nature of the images real inverted and diminished.

Magnification

-v/u=hi/ho

Use it

h= -2 cm

size of the image is 2 cm
