Find the position,nature and size of the image of an object 3cm high placed at a distance of 9cm from a concave mirror of focal length 18cm.

u=-9

f= -18

position v ➡

1/v=1/f+1/u

= 1/ -18 + 1/-9=-3/18=-1/6

thus, v = -6 or the position of image is 6 cm in front of the mirror

magnification = v/u= -6/-9= 2/3

size of image I = magnification* u= 2/3*-9= -6

thus I = -6 or 6 cm in height
