find the position of the centre of mass of two sphere of mass 3 kg and 5 kg separated by 20 cm from each other

m1 = 3kg

m2 = 5kg

x1 = 0

x2 = 20 cm = 0.2m

centre of mass C = m1x1 + m2x2/ m1 + m2

= 3 (0) + 5 ×(0.2)/ 3 + 5

= 1/8
