FIND THE POSITION, SIZE AND THE NATURE OF THE IMAGE FORMED BY A SPHERICAL MIRROR FROM THE FOLLOWING DATA u=-20, f=-15, ho=1.0cm

1/u+1/v=1/f

Therefore, -1/20+1/v=-1/15

1/v=1/20-1/15

1/v=3-4/60

1/v= -1/60

v= -60


Hi/Ho=-v/u

Hi/1 =-(-60)/-20

Hi = +60/-20

Hi = -3cm


Hence,image will be formed at 60 cm from the pole towards the left side of mirror. Hence,the image will be real.

Size of image will be 3cm in downward direction ,so the image will be inverted.


So image will be real,inverted and can be taken on screen.
