Voltage across each parallel resistance will be equal . Let that voltage be V .

Now equivalent resistance

 \frac{1}{r}  =  \frac{1}{48}  +  \frac{1}{48}  +  \frac{1}{24}  +  \frac{1}{6}  +  \frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \\  \frac{1}{r}  =  \frac{1 + 1 + 2 + 8 + 12 + 24}{48}  \\  \\  \frac{1}{r}  =  \frac{48}{48}  = 1 \:   \\  \\ r = 1

So

V = Ir = 2 × 1 = 2V

For 24 ohm resistance , voltage across its end is 2V . So

I = V / r = 2 / 24 = 1/12 A
