Answer:

1 mega joule = 1000000 joule then

30 mega joule = 30x 1000000= 30000000

So:

100 C charge flow across two point.

∆V= W/Q= 30000000/100

= 300000 Volt.

hope it helps u !!

Given : The point of 20 MJ work is done in moving a change of 100 uc across two points in an electric circuit.

To Find : Find the potential difference between the two points ?

_____________

Solution : Let the potential difference point be x v.

~

\dag ~\underline{\frak{\pmb{As ~we ~know ~that~:}}}

  • {\underline{\boxed{\frak{\pmb{V~=~\dfrac{W}{Q}}}}}}

~

Where,

  • V = Potential Difference
  • W = Work Done
  • Q = Charge

~

Solution :

First, we have to change work done MJ to J :

\qquad:\implies {\sf {Work\: Done\: =\: 20\: MJ}}

\qquad\begin{gathered}:\implies \sf Work\: Done =\: 20 \times 1000000\: J\: \:\:\: \small\bigg\lgroup \rm{\pmb{1\: MJ =\: 10^6\: or\: 1000000\: J}}\bigg\rgroup\\\end{gathered}

\qquad\begin{gathered}:\implies \sf Work\: Done =\: 20000000\: J\\\end{gathered}

\qquad:\implies{\underline{\boxed{\frak{\pink{\pmb{Work\: Done =\: 2 \times 10^7\: J}}}}}}

~

Again, we have to change charge uc to C :

\qquad:\implies {\sf{Charge =\: 100\: uc}}

\qquad\begin{gathered}:\implies \sf Charge =\: 100 \times 0.000001\: C\: \: \:\:\small\bigg\lgroup \rm{\pmb{1\: uc =\: 0.000001\: or\: 10^{- 6}\: C}}\bigg\rgroup\\\end{gathered}

\qquad:\implies {\sf {Charge \:=\: 0.0001}}

\qquad:\implies{\underline{\boxed{\frak{\purple{\pmb{Charge =\: 10^{- 4}\: C}}}}}}

~

Now, we have to find the potential difference :

~

Given :

  • Work Done (W) = 2 × 10⁷ J
  • Charge (Q) = 10-⁴ C

~

\dag ~\underline{\frak{\pmb{According ~to~ the ~given~ question~:}}}

~

\qquad:\implies \sf V =\: \dfrac{2 \times 10^7}{10^{- 4}}

\qquad:\implies {\sf {V =\: 2 \times 10^3}}

\qquad:\implies{\underline{\boxed{\frak{\red{\pmb{V~=~2000~V}}}}}}

~

Hence,

  • The potential difference between the points is 2000 V.
